Frederick Lynch (1935–2016) was a celebrated Maine artist whose work explored the intersection of nature, structure, and abstraction.
Known for his intricate compositions and sophisticated use of color, Lynch developed a distinctive visual language inspired by the patterns and systems found in the natural world. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he became one of Maine’s most respected abstract painters.

It is an honor to present Jennifer Brou’s solo debut, featuring a stunning series of fourteen large-scale graphite drawings.
Brou’s practice is based on the ritual of wandering.
Whether isolated in the woods or deeply invested in a drawing, she allows herself to become lost in the process. Brou uses photography and rendering from direct observation to record her subjects and bring them to her studio, where she combines them with imagined elements. Drawing in this manner is both a wandering and a search for stillness; a translation and distillation of place into an accumulation of marks.
